Prepare your heart for our Sunday Morning Gathering by looking through these suggestions that will assist you in making the most of our time together.

You will find tangible suggestions for putting scripture to action in your personal life and in our corporate body, links to the songs we will sing, and lyrics for you to prepare for our corporate singing.

Please see the Preparing for the Sermon post for suggestions in thinking more critically through the passage, meditating more intently on the text, and prayerfully seeking wisdom to deepen your understanding of the passage to be preached this Sunday.

Intentionally Act

• Determine your hearts response to those you know or see in homosexuality.  If it is a wrong response according to Scripture, repent and ask for biblical wisdom to respond Christ-like and in obedience to the God's commands for believers to engage the world. 
• Examine how you pray for the lost around you every day.  Do you pray for those lost in homosexuality the same way?  Pray for opportunities to share the gospel with any unrepentant unbeliever that God has placed in your life. 
• Begin praying for eyes to see your own sin, a heart and hands that are killing your sin, seeking and being sought out by brothers and sisters in Christ to walk along side you in killing your sin to increase purity and holiness in your life.  Pursue purity and holiness in the church with others with the same passion, for the Lord God is holy. 
• Pray for wisdom for the elders and the church as we think through how to implement this teaching together. Pray that the Lord would use this teaching to expose sin and wrong attitudes in our midst that we might be reconciled to one another in the grace of God.
