Carefully and Prayerfully Consider
- List the major points of the gospel of Jesus Christ? What is necessary to believe and what does a saving response to the gospel of Jesus look like?
- This Sunday we will consider how this message and a saving response to it should continually drive and impact how we listen to God's Word taught each week when we gather.
- How could the gospel message prepare your heart throughout the week? Do you preach the gospel to yourself throughout the week? How? If not, how could you begin?
- What temptations and challenges to listening well on Sunday do you need to be mindful of and prayerful about on Saturday evening as you think about the Lord's Day?
- How could the gospel message impact the way you begin your morning on Sunday at home before you arrive to church?
- How is the gospel message and its implications impacting the way you greet people at church? Interact with them? Pray with those who have need?
- How could the gospel message impact your approach to singing on Sunday?
- How could you ensure that when you are listening to a sermon, you are listening with a heart sensitive to the gospel, ready to learn, eager to think, intentional to apply?
- How could you assist your children, other people in your home, to be prepared to listen with gospel affected hearts on Sunday?
- What ways can you think of to prepare yourself to intentionally respond to what we will hear together each Sunday?
